Vivo NEX With an Elevating Front Camera Launched in India at Rs 44,990 Vivo NEX is a smartphone that boasts of a notchless FullView display and a front camera that pops

VIVO INDIA has been prepping up for this smartphone since June 2018 and come July, has finally launched it in India.

Meet Vivo NEX, the flagship smartphone from Vivo India that will compete with the likes of Oppo Find X and even the much popular OnePlus 6.

Vivo NEX boasts of a massive 6.59-inch Ultra FullView display with a screen resolution of 2316X1080 and an in-display fingerprint sensor that was also seen on the Vivo X21 earlier this year for security.

The flagship device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC which is the latest and the most powerful chipset that can be used by a smartphone manufacturer in 2018.

Vivo NEX also comes with an 8GB RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage. Vivo NEX S is a smartphone that means business when it comes to redefining the design of the existing flagship smartphones that we see.

After Apple’s iPhone X came with a notch display, many Android smartphone manufacturers including the OnePlus 6 saw the adoption of a notch display.

To have a full view display and maximizing the screen to body ratio on a smartphone without a notch is a tough task to achieve but Vivo along with Oppo is showing the world with the Vivo NEX and the Oppo Find X that it’s possible.

Vivo NEX comes with a notchless display that measures at 16.74 cm and is one of the biggest real-estate that you can get on a smartphone till now. The display also is a Full HD+ Super AMOLED display and boasts of an aspect ratio of 19.3:9.

The device is nearly bezel-less and you have to look close enough to find the edges. So, how did Vivo achieve the feat of a notchless display? And, where did they put the front camera?

Well, the Vivo NEX comes with a pop-up camera that’s embedded within the body of the device. Also, the 8-megapixel front camera elevates up from the devices 7.98mm thin body to get you a selfie.

It also goes back as soon as you lock the phone or switch to another app or the rear camera mode. This is done in order for it not to be damaged if you happen to accidentally drop the device.

The Vivo NEX also comes with a dual-camera setup for the primary camera module with one camera rated at 12-megapixels and the other one at 5-megapixels.

This device will offer you almost all the modes that you would want on your smartphone to click a picture like a portrait, panorama, manual etc. For video recording, the device is capable of shooting 4K videos.

The Vivo NEX packs in a 4000 mAh non-removable battery and for security you get a pin to unlock, pattern unlocks and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The device runs on Android 8.1.0 Oreo with Vivo’s own Funtouch OS 4.0.

The Vivo NEX is priced at Rs 44,990 and is available on Amazon India.
