Nokia 6.1 Plus Launched in India at ₹15,999 The Android One phone from HMD Global comes with a 3.5mm Audio Jack

HMD GLOBAL, the home of Nokia phones, has announced the launch of the Xiaomi Mi A2 Android One rival the Nokia 6.1 Plus in India at a price of ₹15,999.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus is an Android One device that comes with Qualcomm’s latest mid-range SoC, the Snapdragon 636.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus sports a Full HD+ 5.8-inch display with a 19:9 screen ratio. The display is Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is a 2.5D curved screen.

The display on the device also comes with an iPhone X like notch that houses an earpiece and the front 16-megapixel camera. The display offers a large real-estate along with a bezel-less design that still feels sturdy.

As the device is an Android One phone, it guarantees the latest Android operating system which includes 2 years of Android ‘letter’ upgrades and 3 years of monthly security updates.

Out-of-the-box the device comes with Android 8.1 Oreo OS and Android Pie will be rolled out on the device very soon.

In terms of specifications, the Nokia 6.1 offers a fingerprint sensor at the back, an LTE cat.4 network speed, 4GB RAM and internal storage of 64 GB. You can also expand the storage of the device with a microSD card that is supported by up to 400GB on this device.

The phone will be available in India in Gloss Midnight Blue, Gloss Black and White colour options.

The camera on the Nokia 6.1 Plus offers a dual-camera setup at the back with an LED flash. The device houses a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 and a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.4.

Seen first on the Nokia 8, the Nokia 6.1 Plus also comes with a dual-sight camera mode where users can simultaneously click photos from both the front and rear camera.

There is also a direct live streaming option placed within the camera app for Facebook and YouTube content creators.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus sports a 3060 mAh battery that is capable of delivering a maximum talk time of 20.5 hours according to the company.

Charging is via a USB Type-C port and a 5V/2A charger that comes inside the box of the phone.

Nokia also includes earphones inside the box of this Android One smartphone as it does come with a dedicated 3.5mm audio jack unlike the recently launched Xiaomi Mi A2 Android One device.
