Honor 9N Launched in India, Starts at Rs 11,999

HONOR INDIA, a sub-brand of Chinese tech giant Huawei, launched its new smartphone offering in India – the Honor 9N.

Packing many impressive features, Honor 9N is also an AI-driven smartphone when it comes to photography. However, it lays more emphasis on the aesthetics and style of this phone.

The Honor 9N comes with an all-glass design. Upfront, you get a 2.5D curved glass design made up of a 12-layer nano-coating process. This is very similar to the Honor 8 that was launched in 2016.

The device does have a notch display that you can switch off as well. The display measures at 14.84 cm with the notch, and 14.22 cm without the notch. It also offers an aspect ratio of 19:9.

The device is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 659 SoC that’s backed by 3/4GB RAM. It comes with something called “GPU turbo tech” (which will be rolled out in an update on a later date) that will help boost the performance on this device.

The Honor 9N will be offered in two storage variants of 64GB and 128GB.

Honor 9N comes in four new colours meant to appeal to the millennials – midnight black, sapphire blue, lavender purple and Robin-egg blue colour options.

There is a 16MP front camera on the Honor 9N and the primary camera is a dual-module with a 13+2MP configuration. It does offer you PDAF along with a bokeh mode to it.

For Security you get pin/pattern unlock along with Face Unlock feature that pretty much has become a standard with smartphones in 2018.

There is also an additional fingerprint reader at the back of the device. The phone offers other features such as ‘bike mode’ and ‘party mode’ for user convenience.

The Honor 9N is priced at Rs 11,999 for the 3+32GB variant, Rs 13,999 for the 4+64GB version and Rs 17,999 for the 4+128GB variant of the phone.
