MOTOROLA INDIA’s much-awaited Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play have been finally launched in India on June 4, 2018. Both the devices are in the mid-budget smartphone category and will be competing with the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and the Nokia 6 (2018). The Moto G6 is priced at Rs 13,999 and the G6 Play will be sold at Rs 11,999.

The Moto G6 sports a 5.7-inch (14.5 cm) Full HD+ Max Vision display, which is similar to plenty of devices that sport a FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio that’s pretty much become the standard on 2018 Android smartphones.

Like many budget smartphones this year, the Moto G6 also comes with a dual-camera setup with a 12MP+5MP module. There is also an LED flash to click images in low-light and yes it can click images in portrait mode. With its dual-camera, the Moto G6 also offers modes like selective focus, selective black and white as well as spot colour mode.

The spot colour mode offers you to selectively choose one colour in the image and make it pop while the rest of the image remains black and white. For selfies, the Moto G6 offers a 16MP camera upfront.

The company claims that the selfie camera lets in 300% more light to make the low-light selfies more detail oriented. For security, the front camera also works to enable the Face Unlock feature that’s similar to the FaceID seen on iPhone X. The Moto G6 comes with a 3000 mAh battery with Turbo Power for fast charging capabilities.

The Moto G6 Play also comes with a similar display with the only difference being that the display on this one is just an HD+ display and offers a lower resolution of 720X1440 pixels. In terms of camera, the G6 Play comes with only a single 13MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. However, it does pack in a bigger 4000 mAh battery.
