World Environment Day: Volkswagen India Encourages Waterless Car Wash Volkswagen introduces special green initiatives for its customers in India on this World Environment Day


VOLKSWAGEN might not be a company that many might relate to when it comes to world environmental concerns, but in 2018, they are trying to make amends. June 5 is celebrated as the ‘World Environment Day’, and Volkswagen India is doing what it can to make a difference.

The company has introduced special green initiatives for its customers in India on this World Environment Day. According to the company these initiatives are to drive awareness around eco-conservation.

Volkswagen also has a unique waterless carwash technology, that they are encouraging their customers to take up, in order to save water. To avail the waterless car wash, customers will need to book an appointment first.  In addition to this, if you happen to visit a Volkswagen showroom near you on June 5, 2018, they will be handing out saplings for you to plant and go green.

Both these initiatives will be available at Volkswagen’s 122 showrooms across 105 cities in the country.

He also added, ” With initiatives like the waterless car wash or even, the simple act of handing out saplings we aim to drive awareness, inspire social change and support our customers in their environmental friendly actions.”

Volkswagen offers innovations like a low emission water-based paint, a dry-wash and  BlueMotion technologies for energy-saving.

Volkswagen has also done its best to commit itself towards growing its green footprint with innovations like a low emission water-based paint technology, a dry-wash to its range of inventive and  BlueMotion technologies for energy-saving.

The company has been encouraging its customers to use the BlueMotion technology which is seen in cars like Volkswagen Passat and Tiguan in India. The BlueMotion technology in these cars helps you to improve your driving habits and make these cars run efficiently so that your carbon footprint is minimal.
