Hyundai Is the New Global Automotive Partner of Chelsea Football Club The logo on the new jersey will be seen for the first time on July 23 when Chelsea head to Australia


HYUNDAI MOTORS has announced a multi-year partnership with Chelsea Football Club. This partnership will see its brand logo on the sleeve of the new Blues jersey in all domestic competitions from next season until 2022, as the Global Automotive Partner.

Hyundai is a Korean car maker that for the first time has ventured into the UK football market. The carmaker is also known to be associated with football at the national as well as international level with such partnerships for the past 20 years.

This partnership with Chelsea F.C. will also see Hyundai’s car displays at the club, home matchday presence including LED perimeter branding, and various media and digital content rights.

The announcement came after the company launched a new video featuring Chelsea stars Olivier Giroud, David Luiz and Tiémoué Bakayoko. Over the course of the partnership, Hyundai also plans to work closely with Chelsea to develop a range of initiatives and benefits for the club’s supporters, to bring ease to mobility and make football more accessible to fans.

After the announcement Chelsea Commercial Director Chris Townsend OBE said, “We are delighted to be announcing our new partnership with Hyundai that will see this iconic brand appear on the sleeve of our match shirts from next season. The logo on the new jersey will be seen for the first time on July 23 when Chelsea head to Australia to play a friendly fixture against Perth Glory ahead of the 2018-19 season.

Hyundai has been a FIFA partner since 1999 and was engaged with UEFA for 18 years till 2017. The company has been also involved with other individual clubs including Olympique Lyonnais in France among others.
