BMW India Launches Made-in-India Bikes G 310 R and G 310 GS With the new BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS, BMW Motorrad forays into the sub-500 CC bike segment

BMW MOTORRAD has finally forayed into the sub-500cc segment in the country and has launched the much awaited BMW G 310 R and BMW G 310 GS.

The new BMW G 310 R is priced at Rs 2.99 lakh ex-showroom and the G 310 GS will be available for Rs 3.49 lakh ex-showroom.

Both these motorcycles were developed by BMW MOTORRAD Munich, Germany, and will be produced at Hosur in India by their cooperation partner TVS Motor Company India. Both the bikes also have an industry first 3-year warranty for unlimited kilometres.

The bikes are powered by an all-new 313cc water-cooled single cylinder 4-stroke engine the produces 34HP @ 9,500 rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm @ 7,500 rpm.

The BMW G 310 R is also capable of doing a 0-50km/h dash in 2.5 seconds and boasts of a top speed of 143Km/h. Both the motorcycles come with a 6-speed transmission.

The all-new BMW G 310 R has been launched in the following metallic colours – Style HP, Cosmic Black and Racing Red.

For the Style HP and Pearl White Metallic customers will have to shell out an additional Rs 10,000 to the ex-showroom price.

In terms of suspension, the all-new BMW G 310 R and the all-new BMW G 310 GS have a torsionally stiff, highly robust tubular steel frame in grid structure with bolt-on rear frame.

The front wheel suspension is taken care of by a solid upside-down fork while at the rear there is an aluminium swinging arm in conjunction with a spring strut that is mounted on it directly.

Both motorcycles feature a high-performance brake system with 2-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) for efficient deceleration and short braking distances. There is also a standard multi-function instrument cluster with a large liquid crystal display.

The all-new BMW G 310 R and the all-new BMW G 310 GS are also available on attractive finance schemes through BMW Financial Services India with all-inclusive monthly instalments starting at INR 6,999 and INR 7,999 respectively.

This also includes Road Side Assistance, a 24×7 365-day package that ensures prompt services in case of breakdown and towing situations.
